About us

 Mar lvanios College for Advanced Studies (MICFAST) , Chengaroor, Mallappally started functioning in the year 2015. The college is under the Malankara Catholic Archdiocese of Thiruvalla. Five courses were sanctioned to the college. For the first 2 years the college was functioning in the St. Francis Xavier Malankara Catholic Church Compound at Mallappally. After the construction of permanent structure, the College has been shifted to the newly constructed block at Chengaroor in the Kallooppara Panchayat in Pathanamthitta District. The inauguration was held on Feb. 21, 2017 by Hon. Minister Adv. Mathew T. Thomas in the presence of H.B. Cardinal Baselios Cleemis, H.G. Most. Rev. Dr. Thomas Mar Koorilos, H.E. Most Rev. Dr. Philipose Mar Stephanos and other Dignitaries. The block has an area of 30,000 sq.feet.

Dr. M.V. Georgekutty , former Principal of St. George College, Aruvithura is acting as the Principal of the College. Now there are Twelve permanent teachers in the college. Out of the twelve, 4 are retired College Professors, 2 are PhD holders and others are qualified hands. College is having a good library with more than 4000 books, magazines and newspapers. Present sanctioned strength of the College is 210 students.
